Our client is a private multi-specialty hospital in Kuwait. All leave and end of service benefits as per Kuwait Labor Law.descriptionThe client is hiring an experienced quality driven Senior Dietitian/HOD of Wellness Centre, who will be responsible to develop, implement and evaluate health and wellness initiatives aimed at maintaining the health status of patients and promoting a healthy lifestyle. You will also develop a business and program plan, along with supporting budget and a method for program tracking and reporting.

  • Develop/implement/evaluate departmental strategy, policies and procedures in line with hospital vision;
  • Responsible to provide comprehensive nutritional care, which is patient focused and cost effective;
  • In accordance with physician order, develop, individualized nutrition care plans based on patients age, gender, diagnosis, pain level, preferences, and religious practices;
  • Perform nutritional assessments as required. Understands patient?s food preferences and arranges daily diets;
  • Develop customized nutritional diet plans for patients/customers to meet nutritional requirements and physicians orders;
  • Meet patients/customers, obtain medical history and reason for visit;
  • Coordinate activities with the kitchen to ensure quality of the food served to the patients;
  • Prepare special menus for patients suffering from diabetes, cardiac issues, or other conditions where therapeutic diets are prescribed;
  • Visit patients and to obtain feedback and information about food intolerance;
  • Advise patients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparation;
  • Give diet instruction to inpatients and outpatients upon request of physicians;
  • Motivate patients to adhere to diet plan;
  • Meet with patients/customers regularly to assess progress and to administer any changes needed;
  • Educate patients on food groups, portion sizes and exchange foods;
  • Educate patients on harmful/healthy choices for their individual case needs;
  • Use in-body and other tools to determine body composition;
  • Document all relevant aspects of nutritional care for patients in accordance with departmental standards;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality, service and performance improvement processes related to the delivery of clinical nutrition services;
  • Setting standards and guidelines for communication with customers/patients;
  • Plan and modify menus to meet rigid requirements as to caloric, mineral, vitamin, and related contents;
  • Perform other tasks as required by Management.
