Job Description

Background:The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) was established for the financing of reconstruction activities to rebuild the country and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of the on-going conflict. The SRTF was created to provide the international community with a vehicle to offer financial support to the National Coalition for responding to the needs of the Syrian people.The Management Unit (MU) was established to manage the Fund and its allocations to projects addressing reconstruction, recovery and stabilization to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.Governing bodies of SRTF are:???????The Steering Board (SB), with frequent meetings two times a year.???????The Management Committee (MC), meeting every three months.???????The Director General of SRTF (DG).1.?Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of the Communication Associate include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Drafting and editing News Items (NIs), Press Releases (PRs), info sheets, and SRTF website texts in English covering all programs (Recovery and Stabilization programs) updates.
  2. Writing and editing communication tools including but not limited to flyers, brochures, fact sheets and success stories for high-quality prints in English.
  3. Revising and finalizing documents following feedback from management.
  4. Writing and editing articles and content for the SRTF quarterly newsletter in English including the Director General (DG) editorial.
  5. Assisting various team members in drafting annual reports, reviewing sections? templates, SOPs, proposals, and other communication related documents.?
  6. Writing and editing commentary content and inputs for mediums such as audiovisuals for dissemination through webcasting, YouTube, blogs, and social media outlets.
  7. Drafting and editing media briefs, Q&A for media interviews and Op-Eds.
  8. Maintain the SRTF website English content, keeping it up to date with information, photos, and links.????
