Job Description

Job summaryCompliance team is responsible to ensure that the imported products comply with the legal requirements of the importing country, to take appropriate actions in order to protect customers from recalled or unsafe products and also, to classify products based on their potential hazardous risk and laws.As a Senior Compliance Associate, you will get multiple opportunities to develop your functional expertise and offer the autonomy to make decisions, implement ideas, and measure results. We firmly believe in learning on the job, and from Day 1 you will have the opportunity to build your skills to become an industry expert.You will be joining one of the Compliance Teams to review and comply with laws and regulations of the countries in which it conducts its business, to ensure that Amazon is complaint with International and national import/export Regulations.Key job responsibilities

  • Perform regulatory documents review based on existing regulatory process and checklists and well communicate with vendors within SLA.
  • Leverage technology to manage compliance processes, create and maintain regulatory content database;
  • Build and strengthen the connection with internal teams for classification of products and checklist confirmation;
  • Be familiar with the policy and guidelines of e-commerce and import/export regulatory requirements;
  • With strong understanding of product categorization and regulation of importing country;
  • The ability to interpret the legal terms to categorize products;
  • Good communication skills to work with different functional teams to analyze global regulatory requirements;
  • The ability to work in highly ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders
In addition to the core responsibilities listed above, you will be expected to take on a larger organizational role. These can include tasks such as:
  • Identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Training and mentoring other Associates;
  • Analyzing quality and process issues and recommending corrective actions;
  • Flagging any updates received from stakeholders on process to Lead/Manager;
  • 2-3 years of Experience in Trade/Product Regulatory compliance with government agencies or Ecommerce or Retail industry and have a good knowledge on the KSA regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor?s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Flawless command of both Arabic & English Language, written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Middle East (UAE, KSA and EGY) e- commerce and import/export policy and guidelines.
  • Currently eligible to work in Jordan
  • Experience in Ecommerce or Retail industry
  • Leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
  • Regulatory compliance Experience with government agencies.
  • Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement tools.
  • Tableau & SQL
