Job Description

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldSite Access SpecialistThe Site Access Specialist will be based at one of the three PAE sites in Iraq. This position is part of the Program Management Office (PMO) and will serve both the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) and Baghdad Life Support (BLiSS) contracts in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for all Task Order and Iraq required access for employee badging, vetting, briefings, debriefings, security certificates, visas, LOAs and coordination with Washington, D.C. (WDC) support. The Site Access Specialist will report to PMO Operations. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.DUTIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
  • Serve as the POC for and subject matter expert for obtaining:
    • All required travel and entry/exit visas including the processes for renewals.
    • All required site vetting including the processes for base badge renewals.
    • Letters of Authorization (LOAs) for employees and subcontractors, and requesting updates as LOAs expire or personnel renew their passports
  • Work directly with the Security Officer in the WDC corporate office to ensure all employee clearances are valid and current.
  • Process all clearance upgrade requests through WDC corporate office as requested by Program Management.
  • Report Operational Security (OPSEC) violations immediately to Program Management and the Corporate Security Officer.
  • Act as the principle POC with the PMO Operations Manager and WDC regarding evaluated threat level notifications, security violations, or breaches in security on the Task Order sites.
  • Responsible for notifying the PMO Operations Manager and WDC regarding evaluated threat level notifications, security violations, or breaches in security on the Task Order sites.
  • May provide written and oral reports to employees and management and presentations to senior management and external senior level client personnel.
  • Participate in weekly travel briefings and helps prepare travelers for their safety during their upcoming trips.
  • Process annual briefings to all cleared employees and debriefings to departing cleared employees.
  • Assist in tasking Local National Site Access employees in their daily duties, including but not limited to: visa and site badge renewals, IZ badging, and escorting responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIRED:
  • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Two (2) or more years? experience in an overseas environment.
£Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of security clearance processing and badging principles.
  • Clear understanding of the RSO vetting process for securing Task Order site badges.
  • Working knowledge of the DS PASS system used in the employee vetting process.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Windows Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Must have the training background to give basic security instructional presentations.
  • Must be independent and able to execute security directives concerning possible threats with minimal guidance and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
  • Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers? license from Home of Record.
  • Security Vetting: Must already possess or be able to obtain a favorable Secret or Top- Secret clearance prior to being hired for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.
  • Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship is required.
  • Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by PAE and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
DESIRED:
  • Experience in living and working in a restrictive operational or military environment highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with visas, passports and other official documents.
  • Previous experience working with government security agencies.
  • Experience working with a multi-cultural employee population.
  • Relevant overseas contracting experience.
  • Experience working with PAE.
WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50- 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods.
