Job Description

Requisition Title: Manager Credit Management & ControlJob Number: 22000080Job PurposeHandling of complex Corporate transactions with focus on onboarding new to bank relationships which would entail preparation of high quality credit applications with proper identification of risks and mitigates which aligns with banks target market, appetite and credit policies.Key Result Areas? Work closely with originators/UMs on new to bank credit facilities, support in KYC, perform required Transaction screening and conducting independent due diligence (i.e: CBRB check, E-name, desktop search?.etc)? Prepare high quality credit proposals with a focus on identifying major risks whether operational or financial based on thorough evaluation of the credit worthiness, debt repayment capacity and RAROC requirements.? Ensure credit application submission within acceptable turnaround time (TAT) which meets Mashreq Bank?s internal standards and ensure maximized share of wallet.? To be involved with origination team in the discussions of customers? requirements, facility structure and related terms and conditions in addition to ensuring that all necessary information required for processing a credit proposal are obtained from the customer.? Manage risks in line with banks risk appetite while highlighting any policy exceptions within the credit application and recommending mitigates for same.? Establish cordial relationship with Whole risk Management and be involved along with Originators in relevant discussions to support any given transaction;? Take ownership of assigned initiatives / projects for the division and within the bank.? Handle monthly/quarterly reports and ensure timely submissions.? Adhere to risk and compliance policies and practices within Mashreq bank, while ensuring to obtain necessary compliance approvals for high risk relationships.? Acquire thorough knowledge of the bank?s credit policies, products and services.? Review of facility documents in coordination with originators for execution including liaising with Legal team and obtaining required approvals.? Coordinate with operation team for limits loading and obtain required approvals in case of any exceptions.? Handle account opening with originators and have full acquaintance of the DOB system while working closely with middle office and compliance to ensure smooth account opening experience.? Act as the department?s Business Unit Risk Assessor- BURA through undertaking Risk and Control Assessment on quarterly basis to ensure compliance with ORM policy of Mashreq bank.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceKnowledge, Skills and Experience? Well-developed credit risk analysis and sanctioning skills, with minimum 10 years of Corporate Coverage and/or Credit risk management experience;? Good knowledge of bank?s capabilities, specifically the full spectrum of CIBG products, services and product offerings in addition to legal and compliance;? Proficiency in credit knowledge and bank?s operations;? Sound knowledge of Bank?s policies and operating systems;? Good understanding of local regulations, AML and Fraud policies;?
