They are now in an excellent position to expand their offerings to more markets outside of South Africa and deliver their goal which is to be the leading small business financial platform in Africa and the Middle East.Job Summary:We have an open role for a People & Culture Business Partner who will design, develop, and implement systems to recruit, onboard, and retain A-grade founding talent for our partners branch in Egypt. While doing so the People and Culture BP will help create a value-aligned company culture operating at its highest potential.Responsibilities:

  • Build out the foundational in-market team
  • Implement a world class local recruiting process
  • Refine and manage our recruiting and onboarding process, allowing new team members to feel great on their first day and hit the ground running.
  • Drive employee engagement and build the companys culture by creating and implementing programs to increase employee satisfaction
  • Build a strong local culture while maintaining connection to the broader organization
  • Develop programs for performance management, retention, engagement, L&D, workforce strategy, etc. by partnering with leaders and managers across the company
  • Partner with the leadership team to create a compensation framework that allows us to attract and retain great people.
  • Manage our internal communications efforts, including creating systems for information sharing, recurring meetings, and company-wide updates.
  • Build and manage our People Operations including HRIS, and benefits.
  • Set up all operational people requirements for the company to be compliant (Social Insurance, health care, payroll, etc.)
  • Be a trusted resource for all members our team, and a thought-partner and strategist within the leadership team.
  • Build the People team that allows us to accomplish all these things, including Recruiting, People Ops, and any other key roles we need to fill to be successful.
  • Create a friendly and engaging workplace for remote and in-office employees
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years? work experience, with at least 3+ years leading HR for tech startups
  • Strong HR functional expertise. You?ve designed and rolled out performance management programs before.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design and implement people strategy that drives business results
  • You have built teams and know what good recruiting looks like.
  • You have a solid understanding of People Operations including things like payroll, benefits, HRIS, and other infrastructure needs.
  • In depth knowledge of the Egyptian labour law and compliance requirements.
  • Tech Savvy ? Proficient in our operating systems which includes G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, Notion, Office Vibe or a proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and integrity, trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skill
