Job Description

For this role my client is looking for someone who can work independently as they will be required to set up an Accounts department from scratch without a team. The role is within a government entity. You must have worked for a Big 4 entity i.e., Deloitte, PWC, E Y or KPMG, you will not be considered, also your CV will not be stored on our database for future roles so please respect the criteria.Description:

  • To review book-keeping, prepare reconciliations, manage payments and accounts payable, invoicing and accounts receivable and prepare various MIS reports
  • To provide efficient and timely information and support to the organization from the finance department
  • Review payments, manage accounts payable and accruals, review, monitor cash flow and cash management
  • Review invoices for revenue and other related documents, monitor debtors and collections
  • Review reconciliations for various bank accounts, debtors, creditors and intercompany
  • Dividend Distribution Processing - Opening relevant accounts, ensuring funds are received, FX booked & dividends processed within given deadlines
  • Ongoing monitoring and reconciliation of unclaimed dividends
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to Board, shareholders and the regulator
  • Review variance reports. Prepare reports relating to revenue and expenditure trends, monitor budgets and ensure expenditure control
  • Prepare reports for internal, sharia, external and government auditors as required
  • Support for completion of internal and statutory audit or any other statutory requirements
  • Maintain financial data bases and manual filing systems
  • Input financial data into the companys automated financial systems
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Resolve accounting discrepancies if any
  • Any other related reports and duties as requested by Management and ensure smooth functioning of finance department
