Job Description

Our client is a?Sudanese business conglomerate operating in food, engineering and agricultural sectors.?They are now looking for a?Trader - Agriculture?to join them.?Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analysis?- Keeping track of competitor moves and global market trends and preparing market intelligence data for effective decision making;
  • Business Development?- Source development and import for in-house consumption in DAL Agriculture business; and, sales & distribution of Fertilizer products primarily Urea and DAP, through resellers and growers/farmers in the region;
  • Networking?- Networking activities and representation at Key local industry events; and relationship building with vendors and customers via regular meetings and interactions;
  • Compliance?- Ensuring adherence to statutory compliances and company SOPs;
  • Operations?- Managing local fertilizer trading operations right from enquiry generation to payment realization;
  • Reporting and Communication?- Overseeing preparation of daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports with respect to fertilizer price movements and market trends and analyzing the same;
  • Strategy?- Effective management of the product position after giving due consideration to trade volatility;
  • Customer Service?- Ensuring high level of customer satisfaction by timely redressal of customer grievances through regular interactions and grievance handling with respect to cargo deliveries, accounts settlement etc
