About this opportunity The Digital Infrastructure Database Specialist coordinates and leads all aspects of database operations, implementations, and design for on-premises/remote database clusters. They are responsible for routine database administration, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, new database implementation, security, patches, Integrations, optimization, and upgrades. They tackle problems related to databases (Data management), implement strategies and standards for all database activities, ensure all databases including the backups are healthy and supervise as well as maintain and coordinate reporting for the databases.The database implementation to be maintained shall be linked to Telco Grade BSS applications, which are highly critical to the business environment!What you will do

• Responsible for developing, establishing, and carrying out policies and measures for all the database activities, to ensure that they are consistent with industry-standard methodologies.
• Work to secure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning. Provide the optimum solution in Server, Storage, Networking, and Middleware services
• Proactively supervise the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime Should have a solid grasp of the architecture and troubleshooting of Database Concepts / Features.
• Good knowledge and experience in problem-solving Performance Issues and Preparing RCAs.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, indexes, scripts (bash, Perl, Python), and views in support of development/integration projects
• Perform troubleshooting and customer support.
• Drive continuous improvements of products and processes.
• Identify improvements in the Database Operational activities and ways of working.
• Manager the Disaster & Recovery scenario and synchronous/asynchronous replication on the Database or storage layer.
• Manage the communication with other departments (R&D, Integration, etc.) regarding software issues, the suggestion of improvements in the software, etc.

You will bring

• Hands-on experience/Good Understanding of Microservices, containers (Docker), and orchestrators (Kubernetes, docker swarm, etc.)
• Demonstrated skill: Database ? Cassandra, MariaDB, Oracle, MS SQL, Progress Open Edge, oracle, etc.
• Databases installation for Telecom BSS systems in Standalone and In Cluster Servers, Patching, Upgrading them.
• Solving the Databases Setup Failure Issues.
• Should be good in solving problems Cluster Failover Issues and analyzing the log Files
• Should have knowledge about new features in Databases and implementing them.
• Design and implement DR scenarios and optimize RTOs and RPOs as per Business requirements.
• Hands-on experience in Linux system administration (CentOS) and Windows (Active Directory, IIS, etc.)
• Hands-on experience working with configuration management tools (Ansible) to automate tasks in clusters of servers

You should also have

• BSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
• Min 6-10 years experience in BSS, IT, or Telecom domain
• Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice
• Experience sharing and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of open-source backend support sub-systems and tools (eg DNS, Grafana, LDAP, NGINX, Apache, Zabbix, ELK, etc)
• Understanding distributed systems, high availability, scalability, disaster recovery
• Good knowledge of hardware infrastructure, virtualized environments (KVM, VMware), and cloud(public/private)
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Delivering results & meeting customer expectations
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skills.
• Ability to work in a Pressure environment.
• Innovating, adapting, and responding to change
