Job Description

Role Purpose:The ERP Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for building sales pipeline and developing opportunities for Oracle?s ERP Cloud offering through a variety of customer touchpoints, channels and event, driving overall ERP sales growth. The ERP BDM defines, plans, orchestrates and executes Demand Generation campaigns and events, in line with the regional Go-To-Market strategy, sales objectives and programs. The ERP BDM partners and aligns closely with the regional ERP team and the wider Oracle team such as˙ Marketing, Sales, BDAs and A&C and externally with agencies, suppliers and others. The ERP BDM owns the local/regional Go-To-Market initiatives/campaigns and drives the entire demand generation process from campaign definition, account segmentation, agenda creation, execution and follow-up/hand-over to Sales.The ERP BDM is a leading contributor, individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring others for the cluster/country plans. He/she is an integral member of the dynamic, multinational ERP Customer Transformation team.˙Key Activities:?Responsible for the Oracle ERP Demand Generation across xxx region to drive overall growth, meeting an agreed quota of sales pipeline and opportunities?Drive ERP pipeline creation & progression by identifying, defining and orchestrating˙ campaigns, including 1:1,˙ 1:few and 3rd party events, digital campaigns, etc.˙ in alignment with Oracle?s Dem Gen plan, GTM strategy and objectives, that will help lead to an increase in sales?Assist & contribute to regular Dem Gen Boards, Territory and Account Planning with with Sales Leaders and teams?Deliver subject matter expertise and provide specialist advice on customer needs in Oracle ERP Cloud ? should be customer facing and help sales team with customer facing activities?Contribute to tailored GTM assets, unique value propositions, messaging and differentiators, using knowledge of the customer needs, market and competitors?Contribute individually to the team targets, achieving a high level of client satisfaction and quality lead generation?Achieve a high level of collaboration and alignment with in-country Marketing, Sales, A&C and other teams by developing and delivering against the joint strategy with the Sales representatives and partners?Nurture and develop relationships with key customer accounts if so requiredResponsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs go-to-market plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle. A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product*s sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracles sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracles products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Business and account planning implementation experience. Conversant in Oracle technology and product strategies. Proven track record in managing multiple opportunities and ability to negotiate and close complex deals. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.As part of Oracles employment process candidates will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment screening process.
