?Develop and recommend the environment, health and safety strategy and objectives, as well as develop and execute action plans, checklists and KPIs to ensure that effective environment, health and safety practices are set and updated.
?Develop and implement comprehensive environment, health and safety audit and inspection plans to identify areas of improvements, assess overall performance and make technical recommendations and risk management advice on environment, health and safety issues and risks.
Direction of Subordinates
?Manage the environment, health and safety function team by setting functional plans, organizing work activities, monitoring performance versus plan to ensure that work activities are carried out efficiently and in a procedurally compliant manner.
Leadership and Development
?Ensure that environment, health and safety function teams receive adequate training and development activities, in coordination with HR teams, using effective methods such as demonstrations, on-the-job training, courses, workshops, etc. to meet employees? training needs and minimize mistakes and incidents.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
? Lead the development of the environment, health and safety function policies, systems, processes and procedures including the group?s health and safety management systems and international codes and standards, to ensure the consistent application and ease of operations for subordinates.
?Lead the periodic verification and validation activities of health and safety management systems and environment protection systems to ensure that the systems are maintained and updated and ensure the effective implementation to achieve the sought objectives of the environment, health and safety function.
?Lead the development and distribution of clear and documented guidance and manuals on environment, health and safety guidelines for Sunbulah group to ensue integrating various organizational operational processes on a continual basis and implementing required measures effectively.
?Review reports submitted by environment, health and safety function employees and prepare final reports for the executive director and relevant stakeholders, highlighting major accomplishments, issues and actions that were taken against them.
? Review & develop security policies & procedures to ensure that all practices are up-to-date and within the industry standards.?
Environment, Health and Safety Monitoring and Management
?Ensure providing day-to-day environmental, health, and safety service to support Sunbulah?s group and activities in managing environmental, health, safety violations and incidents to ensure the Health, safety of Sunbulah?s employees at all times.
?Monitor and report Sunbulah?s environmental, health, and safety performance and lead the development of regular reports to make timely decisions about Sunbulah?s environmental, health and safety systems and procedures.
?Guide the monitoring of health and safety equipment condition and manage procurement and inventory activities for equipment to ensure that safety equipment, systems, Personal Protective Equipment (PPA), and Prevention systems are maintained and functioning properly.
Risk Management
?Manage the development and execution of risk management plans, including risk analysis methodologies, risk acceptance criteria and risk mitigation strategies to ensure identifying, assessing, and mitigating any potentially serious threats to Sunbulah.
?Direct the development and communication of the risk register along with the operating departments to ensure that all possible risks are identified, evaluated and prioritized and corrective measures are finalized and communicated to the departments in a timely manner, especially in cases of emergencies and disasters.
?Review risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvements and assist line managers to develop risk management programs within their departments to ensure timely and on-going risk assessment and management.
Audit and Compliance
?Manage the development and implementation of comprehensive plan for Sunbulah?s environmental, health and safety and audits, reviews, inspections and assessments to identify areas of improvements and recommend performance enhancements.
?Lead the execution of scheduled and random environmental, health and safety audits and inspections of Sunbulah?s plants and warehouses to ensure compliance to rules, guidelines, policies, etc., and identify all non-conforming practices and ensure the timely reporting to management on potential faults and omissions.
Root Cause Analysis
? Lead the investigation of environmental violations and health and safety incidents and root cause analysis in coordination with concerned departments to develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans to ensure upholding environment, health and safety management across Sunbulah?s Group.
?Manage high-level investigation and ad-hoc analysis of major incidents and violations to identify and resolve the root cause of issues and prevent the reoccurrence of mistakes and mishaps in the future.
Documents Management and Control
?Lead the documentation of all EHS audits and activities and develop a database to support the analysis of health and safety incidents, environmental violations and corrective measures to ensure allocating responsibilities and ensure the accuracy and completeness of working papers to support findings and recommendations.
Relationship Management
?Support external auditors in planning and performing environmental, health and safety audits in Sunbulah and ensure liaising with external parties such as Civil Defence, insurance representative to ensure protecting Sunbulah?s best interest.
