Job Description

Overview**This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

  • Driver Training, Testing, and Licensing Facility. Contractor shall perform administrative functions to facilitate the training, testing, and licensing of military and civilian personnel for military driver licenses IAW AR 600-55, The Army Driver and Operator Standardization Program (Selection, Training, Testing, and Licensing), and local Command directives.
ResponsibilitiesThe position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
  • Process requests for initial and/or updated OF 346, and Operator Permits Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card, from authorized personnel to include, but not limited to military, DA civilian and contractor-employed personnel.
  • Process DA Form 348, Equipment Operators Qualification Record, for authorized personnel IAW AR 600-55.
  • Annotate on DA Form 348 with the driver training and instruction received by personnel. Verify that training/instruction was provided by a qualified driver training instructor.
  • Verify requests for appointment of contractor-employed driving instructors to ensure personnel are qualified IAW AR 600-55.
  • Maintain file copies of appointment orders of personnel designated as master driving instructors by unit commanders and/or supervisors.
  • Maintain files of DA Form 348 for personnel licensed by the TMP.
  • Conducts a driver safety/orientation class designated as Total Automobile Safety Kuwait (TASK).
  • Perform Bus Check Rides as required.
  • Performs job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or be able to obtain a CAC
    • Must be able to obtain Kuwait Drivers License
    • Able to obtain an On-Post Driver?s License.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.
  • Experience:
    • One (1) year direct related Driver Training Instructor experience.
    • Experience in giving instructions to a large audience.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office to include: Word/ Excel Programs.
    • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles/buses.
  • Skills:
    • Must be team oriented; possess excellent organizational, time management and writing skills to include analyses.
    • Must be computer and software literate, experienced in Microsoft applications.
    • Must have good platform skills and experienced in classroom instruction.
    • Ability to effectively conduct classes to large audience.
    • Familiar with U.S. military branches of service.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very
    • adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to
    • physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to,
    • head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
