Job Description

OverviewUnder the directions of Systems Support Specialist, Lead - the Printer Repair, Lead will meet all Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements IAW with established department guidelines and procedures. The incumbent shall apply understanding and knowledge of information systems hardware and software to provide problem resolution, problem diagnosis and solutions in a service center environment; clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner. Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving first level printer and scanner systems problems for appropriate service, repairs, training and follow-up.ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of network and stand-alone printers, such as Color LaserJet, Officejet, and Desk Jet, from a variety of manufacturers to include: Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Kyocera, Dell, Brother, Canon, Samsung, Panasonic and Minolta.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and configure digital senders to send hard copy documents to e-mail or network storage.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plotters and scanners (flatbed and multi-function).
  • Troubleshoot and repair ID card/badge printers.
  • Troubleshoot and replace electronic components, such as SCRs, transistors, capacitors, resistors, bridge rectifiers and fuses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of printer displays and power supplies.
  • Use and maintain various equipment gauges and meters used in troubleshooting faulty components.
  • Research and order parts.
  • Mentor and guide junior Printer Repair Technicians.
  • Liaise with subcontractors where necessary.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • High School Diploma or any IT Equivalent
  • Experience: 3-5 years of prior experience in an office administration or financial accounting environment. Additionally, requires previous experience in a customer service position, possess advanced administrative skill sets, and must possess advanced skills with Microsoft programs.
  • Required:
    • Must be a U.S. National
    • Must have an Active Secret Clearance and be able to maintain
    • Must have a Valid Home Country Drivers License to be able to obtain a Host Nations Drivers License
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • In order to qualify for this position, you must be fully vaccinated prior to the start of your assignment and show proof of your vaccination status, unless you are legally entitled to an accommodation (religious or medical). The definition of fully vaccinated is that you?ve: 1.) received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and 2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination.

    • Must possess an advanced level of computer skills in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Must be able to obtain a Kuwait Driver?s License (KDL)
    • Ability to read, understand and discuss AutoCAD drawings.
