This is what makes us the fastest-growing SVOD service in the region.˙We are seeking a talented Data Automation Engineer to join our Billing Ops Department at Starzplay. As a Data Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and automation solutions to support our billing operations. Your role will involve utilizing your Python & Java programming expertise to create efficient and scalable scripts, ensuring the smooth flow of data and accurate processing.Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data automation solutions using Python to support billing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop efficient data processing workflows.
  • Utilize your knowledge of multi-threading, pandas, RESTful APIs, MySQL, Redshift, and other relevant technologies to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Write scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with Java-based ETL tools like Talent Studio for data integration and transformation processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Optimize data processing performance and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights derived from processed data.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in data automation or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with Java programming for working with Java-based ETL tools.
  • Experience with multi-threading, pandas, RESTful APIs, MySQL, Redshift, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
