Ability to manage/lead a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
In-depth and strong understanding of Bahrain/KSA Authority guidelines is a must and understanding of Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Qatar standards is optional
Experienced in BIM In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must, Revit knowledge is additional.
Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects
Strong experience in primary substation requirements, allocating HV corridor up to 400kV level, detailed design of Package type/building distribution and pocket type distribution substations, feeder pillars and service turrets, MV up to 33kV and above, LV networks, calculations, excellent report writing skills
Understanding of 132/220/400 KV overhead and underground lines, relocation, and protection requirements of dry utilities including power, telecom and lighting.
Prepare/Review the telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts, manholes and experience GSM tower requirements, MMR/POP room, micro, mini data centre and overage requirements
Prepare/Review Traffic signals design
Prepare/Review of electrical design (Instrumentation & control)for the pump stations and STP will be preferred
Prepare /review sustainable systems.
Design and Review of Street Lighting for all type of roads, ROW, Lighting Calculations, SLDs, Load schedules, landscape lighting branch wiring etc.,
Prepare the technical drawings, calculations, report as per local authority and town planning department requirements for each dry services
Responsible to obtain the authority approvals with minimal revisions in coordination with all local authorities of Middle East and all external Stakeholders through our stakeholder management team
Prepare/Review Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities(if required)
Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
Strong knowledge and focus towards to Quality of design, review and take ownership of the deliverables produced and ensure the design safety is followed in all projects including identifying risks, mitigation and design assumptions registers update
Design of electrical systems and dry utilities using Auto CAD Civil3D experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM etc
Experienced in Electrical design softwares such as ETAP, Amtech, Dialux and other power system studies including Load flow analysis, short circuit studies, harmonic analysis, motor acceleration studies, transient and steady state analysis
Minimum Requirements
Chartered Professional or working towards Chartered, holding professional license/certification from the international bodies are preferred, not mandatory.
Any previous approvals from Local power authority/regulatory bodies will be an added advantage
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, More than 12 years of experience in Design Only, Candidates with Contracting, Construction Supervision and Building projects are not preferred
Master?s degree in Energy/Electrical and Electronic Engineering is preferred, not mandatory
