Job Description

Al Safi Danone is seeking a passionate, experienced Regional Brand/Marketing Manager with a proven track record of brand management, mix development & innovation management. The position is based in Riyadh.Role PurposeThe Regional Brand/Marketing Manager is the owner of the Brand and the director a number of workstreams to drive the brand towards long term sustainable and profitable growth across KSA, Gulf & Levant. In summary:

  • Leads the development of the Brand Marketing Plans
  • Leads a multifunctional team to deploy plans in the market and monitors performance of the support plans
  • Participates in various cross-functional teams ? Strategy & Insights, R&D, Shopper Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and externally with local support agencies such as PR, Media, Sponsorship, and Activation
Job ResponsibilitiesBrand Management:
  • Lead integrated Brand Marketing Plan development and deployment
  • Supervise consumer research to inform better decision making through better consumer understanding leading to better strategy formulation and more effective marketing and innovation plans
  • Define brands? strategies for existing and new brands & categories
  • Translate Marketing Strategy into activity calendars and Innovations
  • Analyze the consumer & Sales data, generate insights to build stronger consumer marketing plans
  • Monitor the sales performance and market share of competitors & design relevant activities to address challenges/ opportunities
  • Track & monitor brands? performances in the market against market changes (e.g., competition, consumer trends, and market trends) and develop adequate plans to strengthen the brand position in the market, overcome challenges and/or capitalize on opportunities
Brand Development:
  • Participate in the development and marketing of ideas related to the brand
  • Develop pricing actions that include strategic pricing and promotional strategies
  • Develop brand strategies that are fit with the market & consumer needs, and ensuring coherence & alignment of global brand strategies
Operations Management:
  • Manage the daily operations of Marketing Innovations to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed
  • Lead brand promotional activities
  • Manage brand operational activities: (e.g., sampling, and events)
  • Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and division requirements, policies, and standards
Marketing Innovation Management:
  • Define the five years Marketing Innovation strategy, leveraging brand/ consumer/ competitor insights
  • Follow-up on latest technologies for the brand products, and be a force of proposition driving the innovation pipeline
  • Responsible for launch management; building launch plans and channel strategies (promotions, media and POS).
  • Lead selected Marketing Innovation projects with Brand team support regarding New Brands, New categories, High investment/ high potential
  • Recommend Innovations launch support to be approved by the Chief Marketing Office and the CEO
Budgeting:
  • Develop Brand plans and work with Finance, Commercial, R&D and Sales to ensure successful implementation
  • Develop plan and budget for the respective brand by conducting analysis and preparing data related to specific elements
  • Monitor the financial performance of the deployed Marketing activities to maximize ROI and build corrective measures when required
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
  • Recommend improvements to company/division policies
  • Direct the implementation of processes and controls covering all areas of Innovations activity so that all relevant regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective plans
