Job Description

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldAircraft Maintainer - TunisiaProvide aircraft maintenance and support for T-6C aircraft.Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Inspector

  • Performs In-process inspections required during the performance of maintenance requirements and actions where satisfactory task performance cannot be determined after the task has been completed.
  • Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies.
  • Briefs and debriefs pilots and crewmembers assigned to functional check flights on aircraft.
  • Performs QA reviews and reports, TCTOs, OTIs, and modification proposals.
  • Monitors timelines and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and technical library.
  • Enters inspection and evaluation reports into the appropriate QA database.
  • Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action.
Planner/Document Control
  • Utilize the current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records as required by customer.
  • Draft and submit aircraft/engine management and Inventory Reporting System reports in a timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, yearly reports as assigned.
  • Process readiness documents, administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verify aircraft utilization reports.
  • Monitor aircraft configuration status, weight and balance and aircraft inventory data for accuracy.
  • Assist in preparation of the Monthly Maintenance Plan.
  • Monitor, verify and log Support Equipment Custody records, Aviation Armament Equipment, aircraft inventory records and Technical Directives as applicable.
Aircraft Mechanic/APG
  • Perform launch, recovery, scheduled and unscheduled inspections/maintenance.
  • preflight/thru flight/BPO inspections, ground handling, minor maintenance, and servicing.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of all electro-mechanical systems and components on the aircraft at the organizational level of maintenance.
  • Services aircraft. Performs end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight, thru-flight, and phase inspections.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment. Removes and installs aircraft components.
Avionics
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Must be familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems
  • Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft electrical/avionics systems
  • Performs the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, modification and rewiring as required of complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications
Egress
  • Removes/installs canopies, ejection seats, performs periodic maintenance of all cockpit egress and life support systems of moderate difficulty, such as seats, canopies, CADs, heating/cooling systems, utilizing hand tools.ÿ
Additional Responsibilities
  • Inspects and operates powered and nonpowered aerospace ground equipment.
  • Reviews maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation.
  • Maintain aircraft support equipment and an orderly workspace.
Program Highlights
  • Flexible work schedule Monday through Friday with weekends and observed holidays off.
  • Technicians will be provided with transportation via rental cars and per diem for lodging meals and incidentals in Tunis and Sfax.ÿ
Certifications/Licenses
  • Must posses a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P).
