Bachelor degree in the curricular subject from a recognized university
Master?s Degree in counseling with a specialization in career development is preferred.

3 year experience based on proven experience in a reputable institute/school and GPA

Guide individuals and groups of students through the development of educational and career plans: provide orientation activities for students new to the school; participate in orientation programs for incoming ninth graders
Guide students through career information system and other counseling center resources; provide a mechanism for the systematic and efficient dissemination of current, accurate information needed by individual students and parents
Maintain liaisons with post-secondary institutions, employers, community leaders and organizations for the purpose of building resources and expanding program opportunities for eligible students
Prepare a wide variety of manual and electronic reports and materials for the purpose of communicating with staff, students and community
Help learners find potential Internship and volunteer jobs opportunities. Aid learners in the job search process by teaching them where to look for open positions and connecting them with job search resources
Help students develop job search skills and college application skills, such as resume writing and interviewing techniques
Provide students with information for career exploration and selection to assist them in making appropriate academic course selections relating to their interests
Maintains an appropriate library/database relating to various careers for students to utilize in their career explorations
Strengthen career development programs at all levels
Use ADVETI Career Development Guidelines to help learners prepare for the changing workplace by helping them understand the relationship between education and employment
Develop relationships with admissions counselors at the best universities
Arrange for site visits by targeted universities as well as tours of local universities for student
Consult with parents, teachers, and school administrators to help students succeed in gaining entrance to universities
Plan, organize and facilitate parent events regarding college admissions and career planning
Remain current regarding deadlines for admission and the requirements for admission to various colleges and universities globally
Assist students with the application process and sets appropriate deadlines for submission of materials for college/university admissions
Ensure that student transcripts are prepared and accurately reflect student achievement in order to present a favorable application for college admission
Review student applications, including personal statements and essays, to ensure that all is complete and submitted ahead of deadlines
Maintain confidentiality as professionally appropriate with regards to learners? wellbeing
Uphold the code of conduct and all school policies
