We are committed to delivering world-class solutions that are innovative and efficient, while always putting safety firstAbout the JobIn charge of planning and management of activities related to the safety of diving operations including scheduling of routine audit inspection and pre-engagement checks for new and anticipated projects to eliminate risks to the health and safety of all those taking part and of any other person affected by the diving work plan. Support development of organization health and diving safety policies and proceduresKey Accountabilities

  • Ensure that all National, International and Company HSE policies and practices are proactively implemented, supported and monitors latest updates and improvements to industry practices and recommends applicable modifications
  • Plan and schedule HSE audits and inspections for diving marine facilities and associated resources such as marine vessels, equipment, and support systems to ensure that qualities comply with approved provisions prior to engagement of new projects
  • Ensure workeru2019s working quality assurance such as: set up quality criteria, checking method, reply and response to internal & external audits and inspections
  • Review and examine periodical safety inspection reports carried by diving inspectors on routine and regular diving operations to ensure work practices are in accordance with pre-approval conditions and applicable legislative requirements
  • Evaluate and approve designation of diving HSE representatives on marine units such as barges and diving support vessels to ensure that they meet the minimum competency and proficiency requirements
  • Provide support and guidance to diving operations teams to improve safe performance and promote culture of situational awareness
  • Contribute to the preparation, review, and appraisal of the diving HSE procedures and recommend changes necessary to ensure continuous improvement and development to organization policies and regulations
  • Lead on the performance of operational risk assessments, analysis, and development of diving risk registers to eliminate safety hazards and ensure engagement of control measures for critical activities
  • Participate in setting of minimum safety requirements for diving projects and diving contractorsu2019 management and operational standards to ensure the safety of personnel, environment, and facilities
  • Disseminates high risk observation list to assist ADNOC, stake holders, and group companies identify issues of serious concern and engage applicable preventive measures
  • Contribute to development of contingency plans and participates in safety drills and exercises to evaluate standard of preparedness and recommend improvements
Minimum Experience
  • Diploma or higher educationin relevant field
  • At least 5 years of HSE relevant experience, including at least 3 years in diving industry
  • National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
  • Equivalent Industrial Certification
  • Emergency First Aid at Work & Emergency Response Training Course
  • Ability and skill to develop and implement relevant manuals, policies, procedures, reports and other HSE information
  • Ability to take decisions, thorough knowledge of his functional domain
  • Knowledge of applicable diving HSE regulations and statutory framework
  • Proficiency in English and ability to use PC software associated with diving systems
  • Ability to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop in line with the organization, HSE control practices and programs.
  • Ability and skill on document control (coordinate with departments for consistent review, revision or renew of procedures, processes, flow charts, templates and records)
