Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Logistics Coordinator with a background in chemical engineering to join our team. As an Operations and Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our companys operations and logistics processes, with a focus on chemical engineering-related activities. This includes overseeing transportation, managing inventory, optimizing supply chain operations, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage the transportation of chemical materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  2. Oversee inventory management, including tracking stock levels, conducting audits, and implementing measures to prevent shortages or excess.
  3. Optimize supply chain operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of chemical products.
  4. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality control of chemical materials.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational processes, such as implementing new technologies or streamlining workflows.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all logistical activities, including shipping and receiving documents, invoices, and reports.
  7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  8. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including hazardous material handling and transportation regulations.
  9. Resolve any issues or delays in shipments or deliveries, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to find solutions.
  10. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Prior experience in logistics and operations, specifically in the chemical engineering industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, processes, and safety protocols.
  4. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  6. Proficient in using logistics management software and tools.
  7. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for chemical transportation and handling.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve logistical challenges.
  10. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
