BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:To lead the design and implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and networks including systems, networks and other related components to ensure uninterrupted availability, optimal performance, and robust security measures and aid seamless communication and optimization of network scalability, reliability and security.Job Specific AccountabilitiesPolicy, Procedures, Process and SystemsEnsure the compliance of organizations policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while consistently delivering quality and cost-effective service.Reporting

• Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with HQ and business policies and standards.
• Provide support in the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
• Comply with organization requirements in a timely manner

Job Specific Responsibilities:IT Infrastructure:

• Lead in executing the plans for the Groups server infrastructure and networks pertaining to installation, setup, maintenance and operations of the Group?s, networks, computing and storage systems, and data center.
• Manage in data storage and ensure its security on the organizations server infrastructure. Manage the virtualization, storage, and backup solutions to ensure server availability, integrity and security.
• Manage and meet the infrastructure needs of Office 365, ensuring its smooth operation and optimal performance. This includes managing and maintaining the necessary hardware, software, and network resources to support Office 365 services.
• Assist in Identifying first level cyber threats, such as unauthorized access and assist in troubleshooting as per network security protocols and policies.
• Provide support in managing infrastructure for HQ and global infrastructure applications used by operating companies (OpCos); provide troubleshooting, operations, and dashboard management for smaller OpCos.
• Design the first version of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval. Provide inputs in SOP manuals that aid seamless installation and maintenance of computing and storage, systems and infrastructure applications, replacing old structure and related operating systems.
• Optimize resource utilization and performance through fine-tuning, load balancing, and other optimization techniques and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, computing and storage systems to ensure uptime and performance and conduct regular backups, updates, and patch management to mitigate security risks and enhance system stability.
• Provide support in the deployment of applications by ensuring compliance with established policies and guidelines, while effectively managing the implementation process to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
• Maintain and update the inventory of the managed IT infrastructure components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the development and peer review of architectural diagrams and documentation for both new and existing solutions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established architectural standards and best practices.
• Plan, execute, and lead small tasks, specifically focusing on IT-for-IT initiatives, ensuring successful task delivery through effective project management techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner, either independently or in collaboration with other IT teams.
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of workplace services, data centers, and cloud infrastructure as per agreed KPIs to ensure safe and reliable data storage and processing.
• Report, track, and address requests, incidents, and problems per agreed Service Legal Agreements (SLAs) for workplace, data center, and cloud management, aiming to understand causes, raise awareness, and prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain commissioning and decommissioning procedures for workplace solutions and data centers, ensuring efficient modernization through change management.
• Provide support in maintenance and updating of comprehensive documentation of all service offerings throughout the year, ensuring that they remain current and accurately reflect the available services provided by the Group.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business heads to coordinate and align the facilitation of preventive maintenance windows in order to avoid disruptions and downtimes.
• Evaluate technical aspects in proposals, assess feasibility for adoption and lead effective implementation in alignment with the IT infrastructure processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to IT infrastructure and network security.

Business Continuity and Risk Mitigation:

• Assist in the configuration, execution, monitoring, and validation of system backups on a regular basis to ensure uninterrupted business continuity.
• Develop and maintain documentation for platform specific procedures as well as guidelines on disaster recovery, contingency planning and security controls related to IT infrastructure and network architecture.
• Provide input towards regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
