Job Description

The Senior Draftsman plays a critical role in the construction and building industry, particularly in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in drafting and design, capable of transforming concepts into detailed technical drawings. The Senior Draftsman collaborates closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet the required specifications and standards. This role not only demands technical proficiency but also a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction processes.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed drawings and plans for construction projects using CAD software.
  2. Collaborate with architects and engineers to refine design concepts and ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Review and modify existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  4. Conduct site visits to gather information and ensure accuracy in designs.
  5. Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions for future reference.
  6. Assist in the preparation of project documentation and specifications.
  7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of designs into the overall project.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to junior draftsmen and interns.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology.
  10. Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality assurance protocols.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Proven experience in a similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  2. Exceptional proficiency in CAD software and other drafting tools.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Knowledge of building codes and regulations in the UAE.
  8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  9. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
  10. Professional certification in drafting or a related field is a plus.
