The ideal candidate will be a board certified or board eligible surgeon with experience in a variety of surgical procedures.General Surgeon Duties:Perform surgical operationsPerform minor surgical proceduresAssist in surgeryProvide professional medical advice/feedbackProvide patient educationProcure and manage medical equipmentAdminister medicationsOversee patient careEvaluate and supervise staffGeneral Surgeon Responsibilities:Perform general and vascular surgery, as well as obstetrics and gynecology surgery, including laparoscopyPerform minor surgical procedures, including laceration repair, skin biopsies, electrocautery, and wart treatment; remove foreign bodies and place suturesCarry out diagnostic testing, including diagnostic and minor imaging, electrocardiograms, and echocardiogramsPerform endoscopy procedures, including flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopyRecover and treat trauma patients, including evaluating patients, administering medications, and performing chest compressionsPerform emergency surgery, including cholecystectomy and hernia repairPerform nonsurgical procedures, including colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and Pap smearRequirements And Skills:Proven experience in a general surgery roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to develop and maintain financial systemsAbility to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountableStrong working knowledge of operational proceduresKnowledge of Medicare reimbursement, managed care, and insurance issues Company Profile Established in 2010, SearchPlus main business focus is in Executive Search and Selection.
