Job Description

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as an Instrumentation Estimation Engineer at Shade Corporation Ltd. in Dammam. As an Instrumentation Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating the costs of instrumentation and control systems for construction projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate project requirements, prepare accurate cost estimates, review technical specifications, and participate in the proposal process. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will contribute to the success of our projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in instrumentation engineering, along with demonstrated experience in Aramco projects within the KSA or GCC region.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to understand instrumentation requirements, especially those specific to Aramco standards.
  2. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for estimation, ensuring compliance with Aramco guidelines.
  3. Prepare detailed cost estimates for instrumentation projects within the Aramco framework, including materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor services.
  4. Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure adherence to Aramco standards and requirements.
  5. Analyze project risks and opportunities within the Aramco context to provide recommendations for cost optimization and value engineering.
  6. Participate in bid reviews and discussions with clients, including Aramco representatives, to present and defend cost estimates and project proposals.
  7. Develop and maintain databases of material costs, labor rates, and other relevant pricing information specific to Aramco projects.
  8. Keep abreast of Aramco standards, industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to instrumentation.
  9. Provide support to project teams during the execution phase of Aramco projects by reviewing cost variations and assisting in value engineering initiatives.
  10. Prepare documentation and reports related to estimation activities for internal and external stakeholders, including Aramco project documentation as required.
