Reporting to the Manager, Alumni Affairs, the incumbent will manage programs and communications to increase alumni engagement to create a culture of connectedness and philanthropy. This position plans and implements existing alumni programs and develops new initiatives and strategies to strengthen relations between the faculty and its alumni. In this position, the incumbent practices strategic outreach and involves alumni and industry in engaging volunteer roles that benefit UDST.Duties:The ideal candidate will support in the development of a plan for alumni communications and promotion of the Alumni Association, including the use of traditional and digital channels and media with colleges to disseminate information. She/he will ensure in promoting alumni accomplishments to students and external stakeholders to strengthen UDSTs brand positioning.The successful candidate will play an active part in overseeing the Alumni Association to ensure recruitment of its members and regular meetings are maintained between the committee and UDST.The ideal candidate will need to develop funding proposals in collaboration with the Alumni Association and provide alumni with networking opportunities in line with UDSTs strategic plan.The successful candidate will need to manage the alumni records through conducting surveys at Alumni events to ensure that the alumni database is an accurate source of information. She/he will need to maintain a plan to engage the universitys alumni through programs and various events.The ideal candidate will need to administer the Alumni Awards program and manage the related communications efforts. She/he will need to also manage electronic communications aimed at alumni including web pages, mass mailings and social media.
