Duties & ResponsibilitiesAbout thePosition:As the landscape of business and public policy continues to evolve ata rapid pace, the need for translating complex research findings into practical, insightful papers has never been greater. In this vital juncture, we are seeking to fill an open position for an innovative and motivated researcher witha talent for transforming academic research into actionable business and publicpolicy insights. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of expertisein analyzing and synthesizing research data, coupled with the ability toclearly articulate these findings in the form of impactful papers and reports. This role is mainly about bridging the gap between academic study and real-world application, turning intricate research outcomes into comprehensible andvaluable resources for businesses, policymakers, and public sector leaders. Thesuccessful applicant will be expected to engage actively with various stakeholders, includingacademic peers, industry experts, and government officials, to ensure thatthe insights derived are both relevant and influential. This position representsa unique opportunity for someone passionate about shaping the future ofbusiness and public policy through the power of research-driven insights.Main Duties:

1. Develop policy papers offering insights and recommendations on current and emerging business and policy issues in Qatar, the GCC and the MENA region.
2. Publishing in highly ranked international academic journals and business outlets.
3. Lead and organize panel discussions, seminars, conferences and workshops in hot business and public policy topics.
4. Developing and delivering research project in cooperation with CBE faculty and other colleges inside Qatar University.
5. Conducting research projects with external partners in the industry as well as scholars from internationally recognized universities.
6. Applying and securing grants from different regional and international funding bodies.
7. Providing guidance and support to help researchers identify, maximize, and convey the impact of their research and enterprise projects.
8. Making an impactful, high quality contribution to practices through internal and external publications.
9. Developing, designing, and delivering teaching and student-centered learning in business and public policy for undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
10. Supervising MBA and PhD students.
11. Contributing to various activities and administrative assignments in the center and the college.
12. Serving the community inside and outside Qatar University.
13. Provide specialist expertise, consultancy, and training to the community at large.

• Excellent experience in writing policy reports for both the private and public sectors.
• Distinguished record of published research of international quality.
• Experience in working with industries and providing consulting service in business and Public policy.
• Experience in getting research grants will be favorable.
• A proven record of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning.
• Systematic investigation and experimentation.
• Translation of business problems and opportunities into data science problems and solutions.
• Communicating technical information clearly to specialists and non-specialists.
