College/Department ProfileDuties & ResponsibilitiesDuties for Scientific Diver at the ESC: Scientific lead for turtle conservation and monitoring project, which includes: Communication of data requirements and scientific protocols to multiple survey teams. Standardization of data collected from multiple survey teams. Compiling data and findings from statistical analyses into regular reports to be. submitted to project funders and government partners. Communicate project data, results and findings to stake holders, which includes government partners and project funders. Being responsible for producing scientific publications from our turtle monitoring and conservation project. Work closely with department management to ensure smooth and efficient running of the project. Provide diving support to other department research activities, this includes: Deployment and retrieval of marine monitoring equipment (ex: ADCP RCMs). Assist with the field work in a coral relocation project by participating in regular coral outplanting and monitoring expeditions. Regular offshore trips on the departments research vessel.
