Job Description

Polymedia is currently seeking a talented and experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and engineering of complex˙Audio Visual Technologies-based Systems Integration Projects. The CAD Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed system design documents and architectural shop drawings using AutoCAD, with a preferable focus on producing Building Information Modeling (BIM) drawings for our projects.Job Duties:

  • Articulately conveys (verbally, visually, graphically) digital design concepts to design and delivery professionals with varying levels of understanding.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information and data necessary for design development.
  • Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed design drawings and layouts for audio visual systems integration projects, including AV equipment placement, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and cable schedules.
  • Preferably develop and produce BIM drawings, models, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure that design drawings accurately reflect project requirements and adhere to best practices for system installation and integration.
  • Review and analyze architectural and engineering drawings to identify coordination issues and ensure integration compatibility.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, bid documents, and project documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering with 03-05 years of CAD Drafting or BIM Modeling in medium to large-scale Audio-Visual Systems Integration Projects.
  • Proven practical background of Design Visualization Applications like Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk 360 (Cloud Rendering), 3D Studio Max, and Navisworks is mandatory.
  • Candidates with AVIXA and Vendor Specific Certifications are preferred.
  • Candidates with UAE Driving License are preferred.
  • Location: Dubai Media City, Dubai, UAE with 0-70% self-facilitated travel.
