Job Description

La Murciana, a Spanish restaurant is looking for a Commis Chef - Advanced. Join us in our journey to blend the Spanish culture in the UAE.˙Our Kitchen is placed 15 mins walking distance to metro in JLT.˙

- Cooking sauces, frying meat and vegetables, filling dough with toppings, and baking them.- Preparing vegetables and meats.- Responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mise-en-place and food storage.- Work to the specifications received by the supervisor regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index.- Abides to all hygiene/ safety procedures as per the hygiene program of the kitchen- Ensures that agreed food hygiene, licensing and safety standards are followed, upheld or surpassed, at all times- Uses equipment skillfully by following correct safe procedures e.g. knives machines- Set up and clean the service area (work table, food, dishes, kitchen) and ensures that standard hygiene in food preparation is strictly observe and the subsequent handover and closing duties is adhere for the readiness of the store operations every shift.
