Job Description

Job PurposeThe Manager AOCC will lead the dnata Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) supporting both DXB and DWC, with the provision of services including, Flight Management Unit (FMU), Flight Watch Coordinator (FWC), Flight Watch Agents (FWA) and Resource Allocation (RA) to ensure the delivery of services on the day of operations in line with established SLAs and business objectives. This role will d rive collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, Dubai Airports (DA), Emirates NCC and FZ NCC to support the centralisation of operational information, which allows for the adoption of decision making via the ACDM model.Job Outline:Plan- Develop business continuity plans (BCP) for the Airport Operations Control Centre which are to be tested as per a defined schedule to ensure resilience of both systems and individuals,- Identify opportunities to enhance standards and procedures within AOCC and ensure effective implementation by Management of Change,- Review with line departments the day of operations to optimize resource utilization & improve day of operation delivery,- Works with Line departments, Airline Manager & IT to improve processes with focus on AOCC delivery,- Continual review and adjustment of expenditure to meet fluctuations in demand to deliver savings against budget forecasts.Deploy- Manage the Flight Management Unit (FMU) team to ensure tasks are performed as per agreed airline Service Level Agreements,- Manage the day of operations Real Time Control (RTC) allocation to ensure deployment of all airline services teams are as per agreed engagement standards,- Manage the Flight Watch Coordinator & Flight Watch Agents to ensure contracted services are delivered to all airlines / customers as per the dnata Precision Time Schedule (PTS),- Manage the provision of equipment to ensure sufficient is serviceable to deliver contracted services to the quality standards and time limitations contained within the Service Level Agreements.Lead- Manage effective achievements of the departmental objectives through setting individual goals, managing / measuring performance, developing and motivating staff through formal feedback,- Ensure implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls to ensure procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled,- Ensure that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is a risk exposure and follows up on corrective actions,- Drive innovative solutions through team creativity via a collaborative approach with other dnata business units, including the adoption & use of all dnata technological solutions (INFORM, PROVEO, AACS, Tetras, PDAs),- In conjunction with other stakeholders, ensure staff are trained and equipped with the resources needed to carry out their duties to the minimum requirements of dnata Airport Operations & customer airlines.Execute- Responsible for ensuring effective collaboration is maintained with Dubai Airports within the Airport Operations Control Centre to support robust decision making,- Responsible for ensuring all flight editing for flights operating from DXB is undertaken as per prescribed SLAs and product requirements,- Ensure effective representation is held within Emirates & flydubai Network Control Centres to support a collaborative approach to the management of the day of operations,- Ensure that service delivery levels are met or exceed internal objectives as well as targets agreed with airline customers,- Develop operational reports to support reviews of the day of operations and to support collaboration with line departments to identify trends and opportunities to improve resilience,- Manage the performance of direct reports to ensure that performance is measured against individual targets and the required training and coaching is provided,- Investigates operational abnormalities and any periods of disruption to identify opportunities for improvements and drive implementation of agreed recommendations,- Ensure safety of staff, equipment and facilities in accordance with corporate, local and international standards,- Monitor customer feedbacks received to ensure that corrective and preventative action is carried out,- Represent dnata Airport Operations at external meetings and committees with an intent to develop and promote dnata working relationships through internal and external communications.Qualifications & ExperienceQualification:- Undergraduate degree (12+3 or equivalent) with preferred specialisation in a business / aviation / scientific field,- Qualification in Lean Six Sigma desirableExperience:- 10+ years of experience in ground handling / airport operations including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial roleSkills & Knowledge:- Proficient knowledge of airport handling procedures in areas of operations control, airside operations, technical services, load control and data systems/communication,- Proficient knowledge of airline and ground safety, emergency and accident procedures including internationally recognised standards (JAR, FAA, DGCA),- Proficient knowledge of terminal radar systems, VHF and radio communications, airport communication & operating systems such as CORE, RMS, BRS, AGSS, FIDS,.- Proficient knowledge of airline MET requirements and aviation terminology,- Proficient project
