Job Description

Job PurposeCritical to leading the manpower planning activities and contributing to the overall effectiveness of resource management for the UAE Airport Operations business, this role oversees our Resource Planning team (7 direct reports) and reports directly to the VP Business Support.Key deliverables of the team include manpower & equipment forecasting, demand & driver analysis, budget preparation support, quarterly reviews, monthly roster creation, optimisation activities, trend analysis, scenario building and project / working group support as required. This position would best suit a solution-oriented individual, able to balance the technical requirements, relationship management and people leadership responsibilities to drive consistent performance and progressive outcomes in collaboration with a wide array of stakeholders.Key Responsibilities- Medium to short term forecasting of manpower and equipment resource requirements. Establish a dynamic framework to review rostered resource requirements against the budgeted resource plan.- Business owner of Resource Management software (e.g.INFORM Roster Control or Genesys WFM) application with responsibility for ongoing maintenance and development initiatives with the vendor and line management.- Accountable for the planning and analysis of additional hours required through contracted labour providers and, where applicable, contact centres. Interface with contract labour providers and, where applicable, Call Centre Managers and establish an appropriate business relationship. Understand the outsourced labour costs in comparison to DNAO labour costs, recommend and deliver an appropriate policy for business units to follow.- Deliver cost effective services within agreed budget. Monitor and control costs through effective resource management of staff, equipment and facilities. Continual review and adjustment of expenditure to meet fluctuations in demand to deliver savings against budget and forecasts.- Drive innovative solutions through team creativity and ensure a collaborative approach with other dnata business units within Airport Operations. To include the use of all dnata and Emirates Group technological solutions (INFORM, PROVEO, AACS etc)- Provision of regular reports with analysis of productivity related metrics to be reported on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Adhoc reports as required by senior management.- Creation of `what-if scenarios and the use of best-practice to demonstrate all possible savings against current plans. Continual review and adjustment of roster models to meet fluctuations in demand to deliver savings against budget and forecast.- Work closely with Resource Planning Team for Adherence and Real Time Management applications to ensure an end-to-end review of the complete resource planning process.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience- Airport Operations / Movement Control : 8+ Years with at least 5 years in a similar position / capacityQualifications- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)Knowledge- Awareness of the following business functions, Ramp Operations / Passenger Services / Baggage Services / Operations Services / GSE / Cargo & Mail services / Data Systems and Communications- Working knowledge of resource management systems essential.Salary & BenefitsJoin us in a management role and enjoy an attractive tax-free salary.
