Our client are currently hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to join their established legal team. We are seeking a bilingual legal professional with a strong background in real estate law. This is a challenging opportunity to join a leading real estate company in Dubai, UAE.Client DetailsAs a prominent player in the real estate industry, our client holds a strong presence in the GCC market, with a particular focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The majority of their work consists of property leasing of restaurants, cafes and food distribution centres in the GCC.DescriptionAs the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role within the legal team, providing expert guidance and strategic solutions to support to the clients real estate operations. You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, compliance, regulatory issues, and intellectual property, along with a team of junior lawyers who would directly report into you.Lead and manage a team of junior legal professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering their professional growth.Review, draft, and negotiate complex legal agreements such as leases, purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and construction contracts.Conduct thorough legal due diligence on potential real estate transactions, assessing risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, and senior management, to provide legal support and ensure compliance across all business activities.Stay up-to-date with the evolving real estate laws and regulations in the GCC market, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and advise the organisation on potential impacts and necessary actions.ProfileQualified lawyer with extensive work experience in real estate across the GCC. A minimum of 2-3 years experience at a reputable private practice firm is highly preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal principles and practicesAt least 5 years experience working in-house within the real estate market, enabling a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirementsExtensive knowledge of real estate laws and regulations in the GCC market, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environmentJob OfferA competitive tax free package and the opportunity to lead a legal team at one of the most prominent real estate companies in the GCC.
