Job Description

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients skin conditions through medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Identifying and diagnosing various dermatological conditions, including but not limited to:˙Acne,˙Eczema,˙Psoriasis, Dermatitis,˙Skin infections (e.g., fungal, bacterial, viral),˙Skin cancer (e.g., melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma), Hair and scalp disorders (e.g., alopecia, dandruff), Nail disorders (e.g., fungal infections, ingrown nails),˙Allergic reactions, Cosmetic concerns (e.g., wrinkles, scars, pigmentation disorders).
  • Prescribing medications such as topical creams, oral medications, injectable therapies, or dermatological procedures (e.g., chemical peels, laser therapy, cryotherapy) to manage and treat dermatologic conditions effectively.
  • Skin Cancer Screening: Performing skin cancer screenings and mole evaluations to detect early signs of skin cancer, providing patient education on sun protection and skin cancer prevention strategies.
  • Cosmetic Dermatology: Providing cosmetic treatments and procedures to enhance the appearance of the skin, including but not limited to:˙Botox injections,˙Dermal fillers,˙Laser hair removal,˙Microdermabrasion, Skin rejuvenation treatments.
  • Skin Surgery: Performing surgical procedures for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, including:˙Biopsy of suspicious skin lesions,˙Excision of skin tumors or cysts, Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer removal
  • Educating patients about their skin conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and skincare routines to promote optimal skin health and well-being.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, oncologists, plastic surgeons, and dermatopathologists, to provide coordinated care for patients with complex dermatologic conditions.
  • Reviewing histopathological specimens obtained from skin biopsies to confirm diagnoses and guide treatment decisions in collaboration with dermatopathologists.
  • Staying updated on the latest advancements in dermatology through participation in conferences, workshops, continuing medical education (CME) activities, and self-directed learning to provide evidence-based and cutting-edge care to patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes, in compliance with regulatory standards and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive dermatological evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and assessment of skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose a wide range of dermatological conditions based on clinical presentation, physical examination findings, and interpretation of diagnostic tests (e.g., skin biopsies, cultures, patch testing).
