Job Description

Job Purpose To provide expertise, guidance, and best practice advice to install, configure, diagnose, investigate, and overcome challenges whilst managing and supporting the Corporate Communication and Surveillance Infrastructure, which includes VHF/UHF base and handheld radios, Microwave Point to Point and Point to Multipoint systems, NDB systems, CCTV surveillance systems, Telephony system, software applications used to deliver the above services. Closely collaborate with other team and department to deliver integrated project as per the requirements.Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)

  1. Design, implement and maintain the telecommunication, radio communication and CCTV system.
  2. Manage the usage of Communication Systems and their resources on a regular basis to ensure that they meet the performance standards.
  3. Perform daily system monitoring to ensure that all critical parameters are under the limit and have high availability.
  4. Test communication network performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining communication network Infrastructure.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance on communication systems and surveillance systems.
  6. Support communication services, troubleshooting and resolving reported issues.
  7. Participate in security management and security incident resolution
  8. Develop detailed operational procedures for infrastructure services
  9. Communications hardware asset management in line with corporate policies and standard operating procedures
  10. Coordinate with Vendors and Service Providers to troubleshoot and maintain Communication Systems.

  12. . Manage small to medium scale projects whilst adhering to all internal Company and IT policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all Radio, Telecommunication Systems, and Video Management Systems.
  14. Specify, setup and configure complex communication environments, wired and wireless that support simplex / duplex voice and video applications.
  15. Ensure that Telecommunication Systems comply with applicable laws and legislations.
  16. Use experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks as per approved change window and architectural guidelines.
  17. Adherence to all internal Company and IT policies and procedures, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) change, Incident and Problem Management processes.
