Vessel OperatorApplicants must already be based in the UAE to be considered for this particular vacancy.Location: Dubai, UAEIndustry: Shipping, marineEstimated Pay: AED 8-12K per month approx + Medical Ins, Annual Flight, VisaA boutique oil and gas trading and vessel owner, with their own shipping and marine division, are looking to appoint an experienced Vessel Operator.This role requires excellent organisation skill and finesse; and previous experience in the same role essential.Profile:2-3 years minimum experience in the same role within the shipping industryWell versed with shipboard operations MICS/FICS is an advantage.Degree educatedFluent in English languageJob Duties:VESSEL OPERATIONS - COMMERCIAL* Liaise with supply team and traders for next voyage including load port, cargo to be loaded, cargo breakdown, cleaning requirements* To Promptly pass this information to vessel* To liaise with Owners and Vessels for voyage orders, port of calls, vessel sailing / proceeding instructions, bunker supply, berthing prospects, submission of vessel nomination documents etc.* To ensure Stowage Plan is received from vessels. confirm the loadable quantity to vessel.* To arrange / obtain stamped / signed LOI (Letter of Indemnity) and send it to vessel/ Owners for cargo discharging operation.* To follow-up with agent for vessel status.* To handle payments of Freight, Invoices, Lay time Calculation, Demurrage Invoice and payments, AWRP invoice, Bunker Invoice, Port Cost Invoice as per the requirement of CP terms.* Follow up with Owners on Freight, Charter Hire, Demurrage and Other Invoices.AGENCY MATTERS* To obtain the PDAs & negotiate for competitive rates.* To confirm agency appointment to the nominated agent* To follow up with agent for final DA, after receipt, to scrutinize and forward it to the HOD for final approval for payment.* To maintain record of PDAs and to ensure final DA is received.* To arrange bunkers in a timely fashion.
