Job Description

As an Experienced Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Technology team, you serve as member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Depending on the team that you join, you could be developing mobile features that give our customers and clients more control over how they bank with us, strategizing on how big data can make our trading systems quicker, creating the next innovation in payments for merchants, or supporting the integration of our private and public cloud platforms.Job Responsibilities˙

  • Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
˙Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
  • Mandatory hands-on experience on core Java, Spring and REST services, React JS or JS
  • Strong Java, J2EE and Micro services development experience.
  • J2EE & Object Oriented Design Patterns
  • Strong experience in RDBMS(Oracle) or postgres (preferred)
  • Mandatory hands-on Cloud Technology (AWS). Containers and K8s are Optional
  • Development Expertise - Web Applications, Server Side, User Interfaces (optional for API dev.), Enterprise Integrations using REST
  • Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices code refactoring, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Good to have hands-on experience on Kafka or any Streaming Technology and Teraform
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security, Splunk, Dynatrace tools
  • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
