Recent and relevant experience required in one or more of the following areas:ú Application processorú Modem Communication systems designú Experience in mobile technologies areas (e.g., WAN modem, CPU, camera, , graphics,)ú Experience in software design, development, and commercialization of System-level power features is required, and an interest in System and analysis is a must.ú Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to work with spreadsheets and other custom tools at a detailed level.? Other Professional Attributes and Desired Skills:ú Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)o Responsibilities:? The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for:ú Identification, analysis and triage of system level obstacles to optimize powerú Chipset and system level power , analysis and optimization for Qualcomms Modem and Application processor solutions.ú Optimize power-efficiency and performance of present generation designs and help architect future productsú Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle in realizing the power targets set forth at the inception of the projectú Architect power efficient systemsú Design of power features and work with a wide set of teams across the company (systems, software, hardware, etc.) in the productizationú Customer interaction to advertise the capabilities of the chipset, and to understand and address specific power requirementsMinimum Qualifications:? Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.ORMasters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.? 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Preferred Qualifications:?ÿ ÿÿMasters Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.ÿ?ÿ ÿÿ8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.?ÿ ÿ 3+ years of experience with Database Management Software. ÿ? ÿ ÿ3+ years of experience with API.? ÿ ÿ1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:? ÿ ÿLeverages advanced Software knowledge and experience to design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.? ÿ ÿAnalyzes user needs, software requirements, and time and cost constraints to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency.? ÿ ÿDesigns and implements software modules for large-scale products and systems.? ÿ ÿParticipates in and leads design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed to specifications and schedules.? ÿ ÿPerforms complex code reviews and regression tests as well as triages and fixes issues to ensure the quality of code.? ÿ ÿCollaborates with individuals outside the software function (e.g., Hardware, Systems, and Test engineers) to ensure solutions work with other components of a specific project.? ÿ ÿWrites detailed technical documentation for complex Software projects.Level of Responsibility:? ÿ ÿWorks independently with minimal supervision. ÿ? ÿ ÿDecision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.? ÿ ÿRequires verbal and written communication skills to convey information.
