• Creating Teradata Roles according to the user groups and granting access to the production databases.
• User Management (Creating users, assigning Profiles & Roles)
• Space management. Assignment/Movement of perm space, Capacity planning
• Proficient in Access-rights, etc.
• Solid work experience in Linux and shell scripting, Cron
• Good Knowledge on Azure Systems, Azure VNET, Pvt Link
• Self-motivated, hardworking, effective communicator and pleasant interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• SSO Implementation
• NOS Experience
• On-call during IST time as a job requirement.

What You Know

• A minimum of 7+ years of proven professional experience is required.
• Proficient in Teradata (TD17/TD16) Query and Application tuning/optimization.
• Knowledge on Teradata DBMS Architecture
• Expertise in system monitoring/health through viewpoint and taking pro-active actions.
• Experience on Teradata load and unload utilities -Fastload, Multiload, Fast export, Bteq and Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT).
• Experience in writing Teradata SQL and optimizing it to run in the best possible way.
• Performance tuning techniques and Optimizer/explain plan.
• Extensive experience in reviewing the code and recommend best practices to application teams that helps to get optimal code to production.
• Experience in developing complex ETL/ELT code.
• Proficient in giving performance tuning recommendations to suspect queries and long running queries in the system.
• Identify high resource consuming, long running and skewed jobs and work with application teams by recommending potential tuning opportunities.
• Generating and analyzing Teradata PDCR Capacity and Performance reports.
• Workload analysis using Teradata Priority Scheduler, TDWM and Teradata Active System Management (TASM)
• Experienced in Teradata database management activities like Teradata space management, user management
• Teradata database Backup, Archive and Restore, Creating Backup & Restore jobs
• Good Knowledge in Teradata tools like Teradata Sql Assistant, Teradata Administrator, Viewpoint, Teradata Studio, Dbeaver, Jupiter Notebook
• Datamover Experience, Creating Datamover Jobs

Education

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
