Job Description

?Join our dynamic team as a ˙Information Security professional at JPMorgan Chase, a role aligned with our Corporate Technology, to drive our product security initiatives. Youll partner with one or more disciplines, lines of business, regions or locations to respond to evolving business requirements and emerging threats. Youll also leverage your expert knowledge of todays ever-changing cybersecurity and risk landscape to influence IT operations across the firm. Responsibilities include offering guidance, best practices, and support across businesses, leading risk reviews and vulnerability assessments, identifying threats, communicating with senior leaders and other stakeholders, and managing budgets.Job responsibilities

  • Partnering with the Engineering & Architecture teams to integrate security controls into platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, etc. based public cloud˙platforms) and frameworks
  • Creating and developing security design patterns to support building consistent and secure technology solutions
  • Assist and guide engineering teams in the secure development of infrastructure services and products
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments of products and features to identify and prioritize security risks.
  • Develop extensible security solutions aligned to the product strategy in future developments.
  • Knowledge of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends relevant to our products.
  • Drive security education and awareness across the organization, ensuring all employees understand their role in maintaining product security.
  • Improve security policies, standards, and guidelines related to product security.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and Information Security, or a related field with 10+ years of applied experience
  • Proven experience in a product security role with a track record of driving security initiatives.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
  • Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework) and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Expertise in application and infrastructure high-availability and resiliency architectures with demonstrated experience in business
  • Proficiency in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, access controls, regulatory compliance, technology resiliency, risk and control governance and metrics, incident management, secure systems development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and data protection
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Cloud Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architecture Associate/Professional, AWS Security Speciality
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools is desirable.
