If you are a Database Engineering leader ready to take the reins and drive impact, we?ve got an opportunity just for you.As a˙Principal Software Engineer˙at JPMorgan Chase, within˙Community & Consumer Business˙you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, provide direction and thought leadership in database solutions engineering, and serve as a key decision maker in driving of innovation and solution delivery.Job responsibilities˙

  • Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
  • Accountable for decisions that influence teams? resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures˙
  • Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
  • Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
  • Work with customer advisory boards to influence database migration solutions that factors resiliency, developer experience and re-usability.
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
  • Champions the firm?s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
  • Experience in understanding and differentiating the key features of AWS database services.
  • Hands-on experience and expertise working with on-premises and AWS Cloud-based relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong experience in migrating large scale enterprise databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, DB2 to cloud database technologies.
  • Experience with analyzing and tuning SQL for RDBMS , can monitor performance using tools like Dynatrace, and DataDog.
  • Good understanding of efficient Software Design and interactions with Data Layer - Methods to improve system performance
  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Elevated level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency
  • Public Cloud certification such as AWS Solution Architecture or any AWS specialty certifications.
  • Working knowledge in large scale software development life cycle management.
