Job Description

Primary Objectives:The function holder guides and manages the overall provision of the financial controlling process that includes control of Budget, expenses and reporting process by putting Internal policies and procedures in place and making financial arrangements for BCR.Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement internal control policies, approval matrix and procedures to aid and improve operational performance and cover any foreseen risks in close collaboration with V.P Corporate Services.
  • Ensuring budget adherence companywide by looking closely at all transactions.
  • managing external and internal reporting and upkeeping of financial statements and continuously improving the recording and accounting methods and processes.
  • Monitoring capital spending and timely alert management of any foreseen overspending.
  • Upkeeping financial statements while continuously improving the recording and accounting methods and processes to improve operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance to HSE regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Ensuring security of company?s assets through proper asset control process and perform periodic physical count of assets.
  • Support the V.P Corporate Services to manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, etc.) and submit periodical management reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Review daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting, journal entry bookings.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
  • Managing and overseeing the company insurance policies.
  • Monitor and analyze P&L and Balance sheet transactions and ensure their correctness; deal with eventual discrepancies; review and confirm the overall correctness of P&L and BS statements.
  • Review and control the financial engagement processes, this includes revision of Purchase orders and contract against policies prior to engagement.
  • Interfacing with local IT consultants to test recent ERP software?s implementation.
  • Provide for a system of management cost reports.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Schedule Zakat and Income Tax payments and any other tax related matters supported by the tax consultant.
  • Work with external auditor, tax agent, banker, and group finance to ensure timely filing.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvement.
Other:
  • Carry out additional relevant tasks as advised by the direct supervisor.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as per BCR manual.
