POSITION SUMMARYPurposeThe HYCO Steam Methane Reformer Unit Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the operating staff & the operations of a world scale HYCO Steam Methane Reformer facility for the Air Products Qudra (APQ) Company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.Nature & ScopeThe HYCO Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing and supervising the operations staff which include shift supervisors and operatorsÿfor one of the APQ facilities which can include a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, a CO2 Removal Unit & CO2 Compression, Auxiliary PSA, Membrane Unit , related Utilities and pipeline network.ÿThe Operations Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations which include, daily customer production meetings, insuring daily operational targets are achieved, interfacing with the Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the site.ÿThe Operations Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the Operations staff is properly trained to support the operations in addition to the incumbent execute daily tasks if required which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, complete operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities.ÿThe Operations Supervisor is an extension of the operating team and is expected to engage in plant operations when required.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSafety

• Provide & maintain a safe work environment.ÿDemonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to preventÿallÿinjuries.

Technical:

• Provide direction to the staff of the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment including a water treatment facility as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures. Operate the unit when required
• Provide direction to the staff of the pipeline network to hydrogen, steam, and CO2 to the pipeline customers safely and efficiently.ÿThe Pipeline operations team will be part of the overall operating team and will also manage the oxygen and nitrogen pipeline products. The HYCO Supervisor will operate the pipeline network when required.
• Provide direction & guidance based on technical feedback from Engineering and Maintenance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and test activities.
• Provide Operations support & guidance during the commissioning of the plants.ÿMaintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.ÿ
• Provide Operations guidance to ensure safety, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Provide Operations input for scheduled outages to ensure contractual requirements are achieved
• Manage plant production efficiently based on data driven decisions to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitable.
• Work closely with business areas to identify productivity expansion projects.

Operations

• Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc.ÿThe position facilitates planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ.
• Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met.
• Establish the operating organization and support the commissioning activities.
• Ensure Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met
• Meet the customer?s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply.
• Build the plant technical capability through support coordination from Air Product?s Regional and Global teams.
• Provide coaching and motivation to the operations team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Develop, train, and promote top performing personnel who achieve success through teams, customer and employee focused, foster open communication, performance driven, and results oriented.
• Establish & maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor & evaluate plant systems & equipment through a Plant Process Advisory Model.
• Provide operations support and participate / lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.ÿIdentify & implement sustainable corrective action(s).
• Act as the Single Point of Contact when dealing with internal issues of the HYCO unit, representing APQ and coordinating internal resources.ÿProvide timely progress updates to the customer.
• Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, services, continuous improvements, and meeting of budgets.
• Maintain a relationship with the customer?s upper-level managers on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment of expectations for APQ and the customers current and future product demand.
