Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan UniversityHospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission Internationalfor achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities:Physiotherapy and rehabilitation at AKUH provides comprehensiveinpatient and outpatient services to assist adults and children in improvingtheir physical and neurological disabilities. Psychological, social andvocational interventions are some of the modalities that are employed in orderto restore physical functions, minimize pain and disability of the patients.Major duties and responsibilities willinclude, but are not be limited to the following:

  • assessing the patients, developing anddelivering the individual physiotherapy treatment program;
  • writing patient assessment and progress notesaccording to the defined criteria;
  • liaising with other healthcare personnel indaily ward rounds to get and receive relevant information about the progress ofpatients;
  • assisting in training & development oftrainee physiotherapists;
  • interacting professionally with patients,families, peers of health care personnel;
  • participating in appropriate in-house trainingprogrammes, tutorials and individual training sessions;
  • educating and advising patients and their familyabout; how to prevent and /or improve conditions.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Physical Therapy or Doctor in Physical Therapy program from well reputed Institute.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years? experience as Physiotherapist or one year traineeship in a hospital.
  • Sound knowledge of physiotherapy theories, techniques & equipment.
  • Flexibility with working in shift duties.
