Job Description

They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join their team.Position: General AccountantLocation: KuwaitEmployment Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities:

  1. Costing Analysis: Conduct thorough costing analysis to accurately determine product costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Utilize costing methods to support pricing strategies and ensure profitability.
  2. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage.
  4. Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts and budgets to support business planning and decision-making. Analyze variances and provide insights to management to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
  5. Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
  6. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations. Prepare and submit financial reports, audit reports, and other regulatory filings in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Detail-Oriented Approach: Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data. Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong proficiency in costing methodologies, financial statement preparation, inventory accounting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
