Testing CoordinatorAmerican International UniversityReports to: Director of Testing & Enrollment TechnologyJob Purpose: The position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the operational activities in Testing Services. In close collaboration with Enrollment and Academic Affairs, the coordinator will be responsible for new student assessment and placement tests, make-up exam service, and various other exams or testing services as needed.Duties:

1. Serve as member of theEnrollment Managementdivision, participating in discussions,decision-making, and policy recommendations
2. Under the guidance ofthe Vice President, develop and oversee testing budget ensuringadequate testing materials and supplies to meet demand
3. Work closely with Enrollment and theFoundation Programto develop and administer all admissions related testing and any academic assessment testing that may be needed.
4. Develop and oversee daily, weekly and monthly testing activities monitor testing center usageand needs record number of test takers and types of exams given in the testing center
5. Coordinate and publish testing schedules
6. Advise students about testing options, availability of tests, score requirements, and addressproblems and resolutions regarding testing
7. In collaboration with Academic Affairs, determine and implement best practice strategies foraccommodations testing and make-up exams.
8. Develop and publish testing strategies and testing integrity conduct testing workshops inconjunction withEnrollment and Academic Affairs.
9. Provide placement testing informational materials and respond to queries about the placement testing program for prospective students and applicants
10. Maintain testing center report, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with hardware, software andother computer-related issues
11. Handle the ordering and secure storage of testing materials making sure to maintain adequate supplies of tests at all times
12. Train allocated staff members in the test administration process
13. Allocate proctors to administer tests where needed,
14. Administer various assessments: placement, make-up, and accommodation test sessions where needed.
15. Process students for registration of various tests
16. Develop and maintain procedure manuals related to testing programs and services
17. Assist in the identification, implementation and evaluation of technology programs intended toenhance the testing department operations
18. Assist with the development, revision, and distribution of marketing, educational, andinformational publications and materials related to theEnrollment and Academic Affairs
19. Provide assistance to otherstudentdevelopment programs as needed
20. Assist in preparing for accreditation, local, U.S. regional and programmatic
21. Participate in new student orientations
22. Participate in outreach activities both on and off campus, representing AIU at fairs, exhibitions, and schools, as well as conducting presentations for prospective students and/or advisors as needed

Skills:

1. Must possess skills to be able to explain and demonstrate the essential functions of the position
2. Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively at all levels within theUniversityin English must possess effective presentation skills Ability to speak Arabic a plus
3. Knowledge ofuniversityenrollment services policies and procedures,anddegree programsoffered
4. Demonstrated understanding of the role of testing in thecollegeexperience
5. Strong knowledge of testing etiquette and integrity
6. Demonstrated understanding ofUniversity structure, policies and procedures
7. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard software applications
8. Demonstrated skills in researching issuesandproblems using software and the Internet
9. Demonstrable high ethical standards and patience especially as it relates to testing
10. Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality of work related information and materials
11. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and problem-solve sound professional judgmentinitiative and resourcefulness industry and dependability
12. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of professionals and communityconstituents

Experience and Education:

1. Bachelors Degree required.
2. Experience in planning and conductingpresentations
