Job Description

Job PurposeSenior Market Access Manager will be responsible for Levant, and Iraq & Iran markets.The main purpose of this role is to designs, develops, and implements access/reimbursements strategies to secure patient access to Pfizer medicines and realize the maximum commercial potential of current and future Pfizer products marketed in ELI. Takes responsibility for Health and Value ? Pricing and access to innovation related activities in the LI such as LPCA, PRIMO, OP pricing assumptions on top of maintaining a diligent communication channel between Pfizer relevant internal functions and different HC bodies.This role will require close coordination with external stakeholders to maximize the full potential and solution offerings, leverage strong market access experience to drive business objectives within the matrix organization, while providing a tremendous level of growth opportunity.This role will require continuous partnership and collaboration with Finance, Commercial, PGS and Regulatory teams to operate according to Pfizer Leadership principles and company values, ensuring compliance in all such activities.S/he will also be responsible with LI HV Team to build an effective SME teams within pricing function by creating a strong assignment plans and future roles to foster open dialogue; let people finish and be responsible for their work; define success in terms of the whole team agenda; create a feeling of belongingness in the team while managing all kinds and classes of people equitably by dealing effectively with all races, nationalities, cultures, disabilities, ages, and both sexes; hire variety and engender diversity without regard to class.Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure work is achieved by individual or through project teams, utilizing technical or subject matter expertise to achieve results.
  • Ensures development of revenue-optimizing pricing strategies to different market access strategies / affordability plans for new and existing products, that address the interests of all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Establishes strong working relationships across functions, contributing ideas, strategies, team leadership in an innovative, thought provoking and collegial manner. Collaborates and aligns with regional/global functions as appropriate.
  • Ensure launch plans are successfully implemented in partnership with other functions such as KAM Team, Medical, Marketing, CMs.
  • Monitors current and evolving cannibalization and IRP risks and assesses the potential impact on Pfizer?s business. Keeps internal stakeholders informed of these trends and the potential business impact through regular communication
  • Engages with and influences the decision makers to improve the reimbursement, access and funding environment for Pfizer products
  • Drive exchange of best pricing practices across countries and provide country support
  • Ensure high quality and transparency on operational aspects of Pricing and Access

  • Ensures flawless execution of market access / affordability plans by development and co-leading complex projects across pricing cycle˙˙
  • Effectively engages with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively incorporates the required governance milestones/deliverables
Key internal relationships/interactions:˙Country Manager, Finance, Global Manufacturing/ Logistics/Supply, Regulatory, Public Affairs and Commercial Leaders in-country, regional and at the Global level.Job Specific Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:Key Functional Competencies:

  • Applies pricing knowledge to plan/design projects that will enable the Health and value organization in each market to meet goals

  • Takes appropriate risks to advance innovative processes and methodologies based on comprehensive business knowledge
  • Makes decisions that require developing innovative options to resolve complex problems within general business line or H&V guide
  • Operates independently in ambiguous situations within H&V guide and becomes a resource for others
  • Ability to interact & influence senior leadership (Commercial BU, Regulatory, Medical, Marketing Leads & CM) in developing optimal business cases to achieve P&L objectives
  • Has a holistic understandingof health systems and health policy, with a deep and specific knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, funding, and procurement processes.
  • Executes and implements strategies and plans with stakeholders, by working effectively in the operating environment
Knowledge/Requirements:
  • An advanced Degree in Health Sciences
  • Excellent knowledge of the healthcare system and its major players/decision-makers
  • A successful track record with 10+ years? experience in the pharmaceutical industry
