Job Description

A leading IT company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced network security engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating security firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web, mail, and DNS protections. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing different types of integrations such as site-to-site and remote access VPNs. The candidate should have hands-on experience with network security appliances such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, and Cisco. Certifications such as CCIE Security, PCNSE, NSE4, NSE7, or similar are desired and considered an added advantage.Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and operate security firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web, mail, and DNS protections
  2. Create and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  3. Configure and troubleshoot network security appliances such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, and Cisco
  4. Monitor network traffic for security breaches and investigate any suspicious activity
  5. Manage security policies and access controls
  6. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security best practices are followed
  8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network security issues
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and vulnerabilities
  10. Train and educate staff on network security best practices
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  2. Certifications such as CCIE Security, PCNSE, NSE4, NSE7, or similar
  3. Experience designing and implementing network security solutions
  4. Hands-on experience with network security appliances such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, and Cisco
  5. Strong knowledge of network protocols and security technologies
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills
  9. Ability to work independently and within a team
  10. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of security
