Job Description

Airport and contractor quality Lead˙Responsibility˙

  • Primary responsibility will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small airport facility. Responsible for ensuring the airport operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with aviation regulations.˙
Key Responsibilities:˙
  • Operations Management: - Oversee all aspects of airport operations, including terminal services, ground handling, security, and maintenance.˙
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth and safe airport operations.˙
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and security protocols.˙
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders (i.e., air traffic control, camp services, Safety, Emergency Response and other relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient airside operations prior and post flight operations.˙
  • Staff Management: - Recruit, train, and manage airport staff, including administrative personnel, maintenance technicians, and ground handling staff.˙
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.˙
  • Manage aircraft service contract and contractor KPI?s.˙
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of airport facilities, runways, taxiways, and other equipment and infrastructure. - Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely and effective facility maintenance.˙
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure aircraft schedules are in place.˙
  • Develop and manage the aviation cost and budgets, and concession revenues.˙
  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives.˙
  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance airport infrastructure and capacity.˙
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with airlines, aviation authorities, local government agencies, and other stakeholders.˙
  • Liaise with contractors and RDMC in relation to H&S activities.˙
  • Audits compliance to RDMC safety rules and policies, procedures, and programs as well as Government requirements.˙
  • Advises line management and contractors regarding safety rules, regulation, trends, statistics and compliance with rules and policies.˙
  • Ensures compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).˙
  • Participate in H&S Meetings (RDMC and Contractors)˙
  • Ensure and coordinate that the inspection of airport physical facilities consisting of defined observations will be conducted on a day before charter operational .˙
The items to be inspected during these daily inspections include:
  • Pavement areas including runways, taxiways, taxi lanes and aircraft parking areas.
  • Runway and taxiway safety areas.˙
  • Airfield pavement markings.
  • Airfield signage.
  • Lighting.
  • Navigational aids.
  • Obstructions.
  • Public protection infrastructure.
  • Wildlife hazards.
  • Snow and ice control (when required).
  • Construction safety (when required).
