Site Name: Pakistan - Sindh - Karachi Posted Date: Jan 19 2023 Job Purpose The Director CGA?s purpose is to support GSK Pakistan?s long-term business sustainability by providing expertise and support on issues related to Pharma Industry and advising the Company on appropriate advocacy building measure with key external and internal stakeholders, including Government Officials, Diplomatic Corps, Trade Associations, Media, and other relevant Supranational organizations. The incumbent?s responsibilities include overseeing and managing day to day administrative services to ensure business continuity and seamless operations across LOC Global Supply Chain manufacturing sites, Head Office and other Sales Offices located across Pakistan. Education, Experience & Skills: Masters or Bachelor Degree in Arts, Mass Communication or Business Administration Minimum 5-8 years of role in a similar role. Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills Ability to deal with Government Officials and execute strategy independently. Ability to lead projects and execute plans end-to-end. Job Responsibility: Drive relationship building with key opinion makers and external stakeholders on matters relevant to industry and ensure that engagement plans are formulated and executed. Such stakeholders include Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Co-ordination; Ministry of Commerce; Finance Ministry; Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan; Trade Associations, Diplomatic Corps; Provincial Governments; Media; and NGOs. Developing and executing an action plan to raise companys profile in Pakistan as a major and responsible blue-chip multinational whilst promoting a regulatory environment consistent with both, the Company?s business goals and principles. Strive for ?Sensible Regulation?. Liaise internally and facilitate cross-functional interaction with external stakeholders such as the Finance, Commerce and Industries Ministries, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, Federal Board of Revenue, National Tariff Commission, Board of Investment and Customs, to influence policy making aligned with GSK objectives. Represent GSK Pakistan at relevant forums (e.g., Pharma Bureau of the OICCI, PBC etc.) and provide strategic input to the General Manager & LT for interaction with external stakeholders and key influencers, to help shape public policy. Ensuring effective management and compliance of Public Policy Groups (PPGs) to protect GSK against any compliance and reputational risks. Implement lateral and upward communication mechanisms to eliminate any negative exposure towards the Company. Provide communications counsel for any issues / crisis management and lead external communications crisis strategy. Work alongside with the Regulatory, Legal and Finance functions on matters such as Drug Pricing Policy, Taxation, Annual CPI Increase, Hardship Cases, national Essential Medicines List, and any other policy related to create a favorable and aligned external environment for GSK Pakistan?s business objectives. To develop the GSK Pakistan narrative and identify proactive opportunities to position GSK positively with external stakeholders such as KOLs and the media. Oversee delivery of cohesive internal communications for key GSK Pakistan business areas that deliver high levels of employee understanding and engagement. Lead the strategic development, content management and delivery of GSK Pakistan website in alignment with global guidelines, local business objectives and customer needs. Act as media spokesperson when required. Provide ongoing strategic media counsel to the GSK Pakistan leadership teams relating to the media environment across Pakistan. Develop and leverage GSK?s CSR activities and targeted communication to support, leverage and showcase GSK?s Environment, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) strategy. Protect and, where possible, enhance the reputation of GSK and its products through effective issues management and media relations; actively identify reputational risks to the business both internally and within the external environment and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure close co-ordination with global and regional corporate groups to address issues which have implications beyond GSK Pakistan and represent GSK Pakistan interests with these teams. To oversee the planning and timely publication of GSK Pakistan Annual Report and newsletters. Manage and Work with PR Agency to develop proactive plan to monitor public media and disseminate relevant information to key internal stakeholders daily. Also provide support on Disease Awareness plans for Medical and Commercial Business Units and help prepare and execute Media/Public Awareness plan aligned to commercial plans for above areas. To oversee and manage the execution day to day administrative services to the company, covering approximate all GSC Sites, Head Office and Sales Offices across Pakistan and ensuring seamless services are provided in the following areas: Entailing the planning for any improvement in and/or expansion of services and facilities, including Seismic Risk Assessment & Mitigation of Commercial Offices across Pakistan. Responsible for the acquisition and divestment of properties as required from time to time. The acquisition of properties would include the end to end designing and setting up of the premises for business use Preparation and planning of annual Administration budgets and expenses by coordinating with all affiliated departments, including obtaining approvals from the CFO and GM Localization of GSK Global policies, development and timely updating of all Administration related policies and procedures, and ensuring the implementation, management, and adherence of any such policies End to end oversight and management of all Administration vendors, including Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Contract Management, Management Monitoring, and ensuring compliance to Third Party Code of Conduct, ABAC and all other mandatory regulations Supporting the organization for matters pertaining to utilities management and all related services. This includes liaising with government departments related to utilities and other regulatory/certification bodies such as Karachi Building Control Authority, K-Electric, PTCL, KPT, CDGK, SSGC, Excise & Taxation, SITE Limited and Korangi Association of Trade & Industries (KATI).
