Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International forÿachieving the highest international healthcare standards.ÿJob Role / Responsibilities:The Programmer Analyst position requires a person possessing relevant academics qualifications and/or experience in the field of computer software development. You are expected to analyze, program, maintain and manage software applications and their development through all phases of system development life cycle.ÿSpecifically, you will be responsible for;

• managing AKU Global ERP operations and expansion, ERP support and implementation within the University and all its affiliates in any country
• creatingÿand maintaining software applications and gaining knowledge of the existing applications, both the technical and business aspects
• participatingÿin all phases of application development, i.e. study, analysis, design, development, and implementation
• developing excellent understanding and application of Data Modelling and Data Analysis Techniques
• learning Software Development Tools in use e.g. PeopleTools and People Code
• efficiently producingÿand maintaining requirements and application systems documentation
• participatingÿin quality assurance and testing of products
• preparingÿself-development plans in coordination with the immediate supervisor
• undertaking activities for continuous professional development in line with the plan and keeping abreast of latest developments in the profession
• operatingÿwithin practices and procedures for smooth functioning of all operational services as per quality standards
• liaisoning with others / Sections /Departments for delivery of the results
• working on special assignments given by the supervisor/manager

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have/be:

• a formal and recognized degree in Computer Science or related disciplines such as Bachelors or Master?s degree in Computer Science, MBA in MIS etc
• at least 0 ? 2 years of related prior professional experience
• the ability to understand and effectively use data modelling and analysis techniques
• the ability to grasp, analyze and document business requirements with some level of independence
• the creativity to come up with well thought out solutions and prepare modification specifications independently
• the ability to demonstrate new approaches and thinks before acting
• the ability to break down concrete issues into parts and synthesizes succinctly along with collecting and analysing information from a variety of appropriate sources
• the ability to identify client need and expectations and responds to requests efficiently and effectively while takes action beyond explicit request within established service standards.
• the capacity to meet client needs in a respectful, helpful and responsive manner and seek feedback to develop a clear understanding of client needs and outcomes
• the ability to listen actively and objectively and present appropriate information in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing
• the ability to make straight forward decisions based on pre-defined options using clear criteria/procedures
• the ability to recognize and act on present issues as well as offer ideas to address current situations or issues. Able to work independently and complete assignments without constant supervision
• the ability to complete tasks in accordance with plans and sets priorities for tasks in order of importance
• the ability to set goals and works to meet established expectations and adapts working methods in order to achieve objectives
• the ability to give support to co-workers and works collaboratively rather than competitively as well as share experiences, knowledge and best practices with team members.
